Description: Silver Embossed Lurex Designer Peplum Blazer
Considered one of Britain’s greatest fashion designers, Jean Muir studied fashion sketching at St Martin’s School of Art while working at Liberty, and went on to work at Jacqmar and then Jaeger. After designing for the Jane & Jane label for four years, she started a label under her own name in 1966.
This piece is late 70s or early 80s and is an excpetional piece, unlike the typical black or solid jersey ive seen in the past. Muir Pieces we have had before are similar to Ossie Clark Moss Crepe beauties.
This stunning long peplum jacket stands in here as a mini mini , With exaggerated tailoring and bold textured textile.
Somehow looks like princely and also futuristic , giving us both court fashion and mod metallic.
