Capriotti, Catherine r. Fondly known as "Cappy," she was a fashion innovator. Beginning her career at a small store on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, the General Store, established 1960. Capriotti's success led her to become one of the foremost designers to locate in Beverly Hills, predating the Rodeo Drive phenomenon. Cappy was known as the premier designer and stylist to countless celebrities and movie stars. In the decades of the 1960's and 1970's her stores were in major fashion centers from the West to East Coast.
